FoodMaven x CRA Show 2019

The Colorado Restaurant Association had their annual show in Denver on September 17th - 18th at the Colorado Convention Center. FoodMaven hosted the sustainability pavilion ~ with the most beautiful booth display. We were invited to join them in representing local producers with a focus on sustainability. Chef DJ whipped up purple potato chocolate truffles (of course) and fingerling potato salad with a creamy Yukon gold horseradish sauce and crispy russet potatoes on top. We had a blast representing Colorado potatoes with the FoodMaven team.

Tic-Tac-Tato ~ Greeley Potato Days a starchy success!

Greeley, Colorado used to be quite the potato producing hub. Only 18 years ago, there were approximately 64 potato growers in Northern Colorado, and now we are the only ones left in our area. Luckily, Weld County has still continued to celebrate Potato Days at Centennial Village to not only introduce the next generation to our past but also to the world of agriculture. Participants are able to explore Centennial Village, eat a homemade tortilla in an adobe kitchen, pet farm animals, listen to live music, play potato games, watch and eat slow-churned ice cream, and of course, eat a baked potato for lunch.
